10 Healthy Habits to Aid Weight Loss
Your body was not designed to look good in a bathing suit, but for survival. As soon as you start cutting down on calories, your body goes into starvation mode. To increase your chances for survival, your metabolism slows way down.
Work with your body's defense mechanism, rather than against it. Begin to incorporate the following tips into your daily routine and you will notice a difference in your waistline and the scale.
- Drink Water. If you're carrying extra weight, chances are you're dehydrated. Drink a large glass of water as soon as you wake up each morning. And drink at least a half gallon more throughout the day. Stick to spring, filtered or distilled water. Try to avoid tap water.
- Walk Outside. For one hour each day. Walking outside at a slow steady pace resets your body's weight set point. Do not overexert yourself, but keep a steady conversational pace. No need to spend hours at the gym, but do get outside and walk. If you can't walk outside, use a treadmill. Just walk.
- Eat Breakfast. Eating breakfast is vital to your weight loss efforts. It revs up your metabolism and decreases your appetite throughout the day. Tell your body to break its overnight fast with a large, nutritious meal. Organic eggs, rye toast with natural peanut butter and fresh organic fruit are good choices.
- Take Probiotics. Friendly bacteria stimulates metabolism and improves digestion. Most of us have taken antibiotics at one time or another. Antibiotics do not discriminate and also destroy beneficial intestinal flora. Reintroduce probiotics
into your system and you will notice a difference in your energy level. Probiotics come free with Ultimate Colon Cleanse .
- Sleep Well. Lack of sleep can lead do obesity. Proper snoozing habits, preferably for eight hours, allows the hypothalamus (master of all glands) to operate in a normal state. Cortisol, a stress hormone which stimulates visceral (stomach) fat is then kept at bay.
- Use Natural Sweeteners. Throw out all artificial, chemically made sweeteners and try Stevia.
Stevia is an all-natural herb that helps regulate blood sugar and stimulate weight loss. Aspartame (NutraSweet) and Sucralose (Splenda) increase sweet tooth cravings and promote abnormal fat stores. Avoid high fructose corn syrup, found in most processed foods, and other processed sugars.
- Take Digestive Enzymes. With each meal, consume digestive enzymes.
Most overweight people do not produce enough enzymes to digest their food. Food that has been refined or pasteurized, and comes from bottles, cans or cartons is devoid of the living enzymes that it once contained. Since they are no longer in the food, supplemental digestive enzymes must be taken for proper digestion.
- Cleanse Your Colon. Lose weight by cleansing your colon. The Standard American Diet (SAD aka "goo and glue") is severely lacking in fiber which acts as your intestinal broom. A colon cleanse can release clogged intestinal matter, as reflected in "a pooch" and on the scale. Bloating and constipation will also be eliminated.
- Drink Tea. Green tea increases metabolism, stimulates cleansing of the cells and regulates hunger. Instead of coffee, try Yerba Mate
Tea. It increases energy without causing nervousness while shrinking appetite and stimulating the release of fat cells. Chamomile tea reduces stress. For a further decrease in appetite, drink Eleotin tea, an all-natural combination of herbs that promotes a healthy pancreas, regulating insulin levels.
- Extra Virgin Raw Coconut Oil. Use it for cooking. Coconut oil
is a rich source of Medium Chain Triglycerides (MCTS), such as lauric acid (C-12) and caprylic acid (C-8). Two teaspoons per day is enough to stimulate metabolism, improve digestion and assist in releasing fat cells. Begin to to incorporate these ten simple tips into your daily routine and you'll notice a change in the way you look and feel.
